The first thing you’ll likely notice about your average anime character is their eyes (aside from how huge they are) tend to sparkle with the brilliance of a thousand suns. But since the real human eye is nowhere nearly as reflective, these anime contact lenses can help do the sparkling for you.
These anime-styled contacts are made by Japan Eden, and come in three different flavours. You will have your Ururu Eye, which gives you that teary-eyed shimmer, the Kirakira Eye (“Sparkling Eye”) which ups your sparkle rating by 200% percent and finally the Kiratto Eye (“Flash of Light Eye”) which adds a teeny flash of light on the lower corner of your eye.
These contacts are mostly transparent however, and won’t change the colour of your eye but merely enhance it. But this also means you can mix and match between the three designs, but alas, do not come with prescriptions.
Japan Eden is considering it though, so us four-eyed anime fans might get a taste of the action sooner or later.
Each set retails for 3,300 yen (about RM 117) for a set with two one-month contact lenses with the same pattern.
