Boku dake ga Inai Machi
What would you do if you had the opportunity to travel back through time to prevent unwanted life events from happening? Enter the series’ main protagonist, a struggling manga artist who goes back in time to solve the death of his mother. By turning back time, he finds himself back in his elementary school in the year 1988 before the disappearance of his classmate.
With Tomohiko Ito of Sword Art Online and Silver Spoon fame taking the helm of the series, the anime appears promising for fans of psychological mystery genre due the story’s progression to induce nostalgic elements and revealing more on the protagonist’s background deeper as the series progresses.
Based on Kei Sanbe’s manga of the same name, the title of the series which literally translates to “The Town Where Only I Am Missing” basically chronicles not only the main character’s journey in solving the mystery of his mother’s death, but his own as well.
