Taking a selfie is hard enough but what if you had a little buddy who could give you a hand?

This is the Lily, which is best described as a flying camera with dronelike capabilities that starts working it’s magic the moment you toss it up into the air. The Lily is able to follow you around by way of a tracker device which you can wear on your wrist or put in your pocket. and with this you issue some simple commands for it work.

The tracker doesn’t work as a traditional remote control however, and there’s no way for you to pilot it manually, but it more than makes up for it with it’s own piloting skills.lily drone controller

The drone can fly at up to 25 miles per hour and  shoot 1080p video or 720p at up to 120 fps while keeping it’s eyes on you. It can also shoot 12 megapixel stills and do 360 degree panoramas. The drone will even automatically go into slow mo recording mode when it detects you doing some sick flips. Just toss it up into the air and let it do the rest.

The device has a range of a hundred feet with a 20 minute battery life on a single charge and is its totally waterproof to boot. You can even watch footage live on your phone using their mobile app.

Unfortunately, it’s not cheap and it carries a $499 (about RM 1783) price tag if you pre-order it and $999 (about RM 3570) on retail if you decide to try snagging one for yourself.
