Wouldn’t you like an iPhone that practically charges itself?

Nikola Labs recently pitched an iPhone case that pretty much does that by harnessing energy from stray radio emissions from your iPhone and feeds it back to get a little bit extra juice.

The concept so far does already work, but the case charges very slowly and adds about an extra 30% battery life to your iPhone as it harvests energy from your signal. There’s no internal battery so the case basically feeds the energy back passively, but the potential use of this tech can be implemented into other devices as well; like smartwatches or other wearable tech that doesn’t need heaps of energy to run.

The case is set to hit Kickstarter next month and is stated to be priced starting at $99 (about RM 355) and they are expecting to ship in about four months after the Kickstarter.
