The guys behind Firewatch recently collaborated on an upcoming issue of Rick and Morty, lending the cover a distinct warm colour pallette we’d recognise from the game.

Issue #29 is due this August, and Sean Vanaman announced the project on Twitter, alongside artist Olly Moss. He shared one of the cover arts:

The warm colours pretty much point to Moss being the cover artist for this particular variant, and honestly, the duo look great albeit Morty is looking a little transparent. On top of his work on Firewatch, Moss has also drawn posters for the Oscars, illustrated covers for the Harry Potter books as well as producing a series of Star Wars prints inspired by the original trilogy of movies. You can check out more of his work here.

Just to recap, Rick and Morty essentially revolves around the adventures of Morty and his drunken mad scientist grandfather, while Firewatch is a first-person mystery adventure game known for its narrative and art style.
