The live-action Tokyo Ghoul flick is coming along nicely, and they’ve recently revealed a brand new theatrical poster.
The poster is basically a close-up of Ken Kaneki (Masataka Kubota) wearing his signature ghoul mask, with his eye reddening from his kakugan. It doesn’t seem to be exactly the same as in the anime or manga (where the sclera also turns black) but it’s probably just artistic license on that part.
The top of the poster bears the tagline “humans are no longer at the top of the food chain” which seems apt for a movie based on a series that has a lot of cannibalism going on.
Masataka Kubota stars as Ken Kaneki with Fumika Shimizu as Toka Kirishima. Additional cast includes Yuu Aoi as Rize Kamishiro, Nobuyuki Suzuki as Kotaro Amon and Yo Oizumi as Kureo Mado. Kentaro Hagiwara is directing.
