The trailer for Yahari Ore na Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru, Zoku/やはり俺の青春ラブコメはまちがっている。続 or My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Season 2 is up for streaming on its official site. The series is scheduled for airing in April 2015 and it will be continuation where the first season left off last year.
Based on the Wataru Watari light novel, which already seen nine novel volumes and four short stories out so far in Japan, the work was also adapted into three spin-off mangas by various artists. Not only that, there is a visual novel game based on the story released by 5pb for the PlayStation Vita last year September.
The castings are Takuya Eguchi (Gosick), Saori Hayami (Oreimo), Nao Touyama (Niseikoi), Ayane Sakura (Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?) and Haruka Tomatsu (Sword Art Online). As stated before, there is a change of director from Ai Yoshimura (Ao Haru Ride) to new Kei Oikawa (Outbreak Company, Minami-Ke: Okaeri) and also change of character designer from Yuu Shindou (Persona 4) to Yuichi Tanaka (Toaru Kagaku no Railgun). The surviving staff from Season One are MONACA (Nisemonogatari, Wake Up, Girls!) in charge of music and sound director, Satoshi Motoyama (Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, Oreimo).
Even the animating studio was not spared, Brains Base (Baccano!, Durarara!!) is replaced by Studio Feel (Locodol, Minami-ke Tadaima). This could mean that the Season One work is considered to be sub-par but barely made enough sales to warrant another season of anime. It also could mean they are angling for more moe in Season Two, judging from change of staff?
