The fifth entry in the film franchise will be titled Transformers: The Last Knight, announced via a short teaser on Instagram.

Zero plot details so far, although some casting news has come in – Mark Wahlberg will return, and Jerrod Carmichael (Neighbors, The Jerrod Carmichael Show) is announced to be playing an unspecified role. Taking the female lead role is Nickolodeon TV star Isabela Moner (100 Things To Do Before High School, Dora and Friends: Into the City!). Moner’s character (uncreatively named Izabella) is the youngest female lead to star in a Transformers film, being born in 2001.

The Transformers have been a cultural icon for decades, and Michael Bay’s series of films have the joint acclaim of being incredibly high-grossing while remaining critically cut down: 2014’s Age of Extinction grossed over a billion dollars while scoring only 18% on Rottentomates.
