Shouji Satou, the mangaka of the infamous High School of the Dead which is well known for combining the zombie apocalypse genre with hot girls in compromising positions has hit another jackpot. His ongoing manga, Triage X, has been confirmed for a April 2015 anime series.
The cast includes Kenji Akabane (THE IDOLM@STER, Halo Legends) as Arashi Mikami, Yui Kondou (Level E) as Mikoto Kiba and former AKB48 idol Amina Sato as Oriha Nashida. Akio Takami (Maken-Ki!) and Takao Kato (Upotte!!, To Love-Ru) will be directing the series with Katsuhiko Takayama (Aldnoah Zero, Mirai Nikki) doing the script. Studio XEBEC, which did Fafner of the Azure, will be animating the series, so we can at least expect some pretty decent quality animation from it as well.
The manga is launched back in 2009 for Kadokawa’s Monthly Dragon Age and so far nine tankubon volumes are published to this date.
Here is the official synopsis of Triage X from Yen Press in English:
“Mochizuki General Hospital boasts some of the most well-trained (and well-endowed) nurses in town. But though these ladies spend much of their day battling sickness, their after-hours are spent fighting a very different sort of disease…Under the leadership of the hospital chairman, a handful of staff members and local teenagers form a group of mercenary assassins, targeting the “cancers” of society and excising those individuals before their wickedness spreads.”
Check out their official site for more details and, as expected from a Shouji Satou work, you can also expect some images of the nurses doing their thing in rather skimpy outfits and compromising positions.
