Heroic Hollywood posted a theory on how the war started between heroes in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the hints of this can be spotted in the post credits scene of Ant-Man where the Captain talks about the “Accords”to Falcon while Bucky/Winter Soldier is pinned down. The Captain is saying that Iron-Man will not assist them because of the “Accords”. This likely referring to the Sokovia Accords as rumoured by Heroic Hollywood?
Now let’s recap the synopsis by Marvel for the movie:
“After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.”
According to the Heroic Hollywood, the international incident is referring to when Captain America and Scarlet Witch were trying to take down Crossbones. The villain wore a suicide vest festooned with incredibly powerful explosives and Scarlet Witch tried to use her power here. However, the good guys failed and many innocent lives were lost the incident as the result. Hence the “Accords”.
Sounds quite plausible in the MCU.
