Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) has been selected to play Superman in CW’s Supergirl and is to guest star in Season 2.
He will be making his appearance in the first two episodes of Season 2, with Supes visiting his cousin Kara in National City.
Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg stated that they were “so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character.”

Superman is currently portrayed by Henry Cavill in the DCU films who picked up the role after it was passed down by Brandon Routh and Christoper Reeve. The TV version of Supes has previously been portrayed by George Reeves, Dean Cain (also currently in Supergirl) and Tom Welling of Smallville fame.
