Willem Dafoe is reported to be the latest actor to join the cast for the upcoming Zack Synder’s Justice League films that is currently under production.

While there is no confirmation on what character that the actor would be playing, Hollywood Reporter has reported that he will be taking on a good guy role in the film.

The protagonist role marks a switch for the actor, who played Green Goblin in the first Spider-Man film in 2002.

As the upcoming Justice League film will be released in two parts, it is uncertain that Dafoe would make an appearance in both films.

However, what certain is that he will be joining the cast of the assembled heroes featured in Synder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. That include Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck’s Batman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman. While, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Ezra Miller’s the Flash and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg completes the known cast for Justice League.

The heroes are expected to face a major threat beyond the capabilities of their individual strength, forcing them to band together as the Justice League. Fans of the series are expecting Darkseid to be the villain, for the film. As the arrival of Darkseid was hinted in the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice film.

The first part of the Justice League film is scheduled for November 17 2017 and the part two is expected on June 14 2019.
