Mi fans should rejoice at this piece of news. Xiaomi has partnered Lazada Malaysia to offer its most affordable Android device – Redmi 1S for sale on lazada.com.my. As you know, Xiaomi sells primarily online through its website mi.com, and this move with Lazada marks a new strategy to expand its distribution network.
The Redmi 1S is a 4.7-inch device, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 8MP main camera and dual-SIM. All for just RM419. Talk about value for money.
Lazada, of course, is the biggest online shopping mall in South East Asia, and with the deal Xiaomi should get plenty of traction for the Redmi 1S.
With its reputation of selling out in minutes, it’s a wise move for Xiaomi to add another distribution channel for its devices, starting with the Redmi 1S.
