Having already stolen the hearts of many a Star Wars fan, the little round droid spotted in Star Wars: The Force Awakens is finally here, and you can get it for RM 799 at Machines.
BB-8 Droid by Sphero was unveiled earlier this month and the miniature droid has already made waves on the internet, much to the delight of cat owners everywhere. BB-8 is indeed official Star Wars merchandise, and can be purchased in Malaysia from a few retailers but we got word that you can now purchase it from Apple Premium Reseller, Machines.
More than just a remote controlled ball, the droid has a handful of autonomous modes that allows it to explore your home as well as some nifty tricks you can do with it via the smartphone app. It even has voice recognition! Of course, you can still steer it manually via the app if you would like, and you can record holographic messages with it; but these can only be viewed in AR with the app.
The BB-8 by Sphero is available now for RM 799 (which is a bit costlier than its base price of $149.99) from Machines in limited quantity from these outlets: Suria KLCC, Mid Valley Megamall, Sunway Pyramid and IOI City Mall.
