We’ve been so focused on the cool movies coming out in the states that we almost forgot that the next Rurouni Kenshin movie is coming out soon. No matter we’ve got three Japanese TV spots for you to drool over ahead of the launch of the movie in Japan.
Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends is the second live action sequel to the Rurouni Kenshin movie released back in 2012. It follows up from Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno movie that was released earlier this month and follows the Kyoto Arc of the Rurouni Kenshin manga and anime where Kenshin has to deal with his Hitokiri Battōsai successor, the burnt up Makoto Shishio.
Once more Takeru Satoh reprises his role as the sometimes enigmatic and comedic Himura Kenshin. Most of the previous cast of the Kenshin gang from the first Rurouni Kenshin movie are also back including Emi Takei as Kamiya Kaoru, Munetaka Aoki as Sagara Sanosuke and Yu Aoi as Takani Megumi. The role of Myojin Yahiko however has this time been given to a new actor, Kaito Ōyagi instead of Taketo Tanaka from the first movie.
Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends will be released in Japan on September 13. We’ve yet to see Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno so hopefully, if it comes, it’ll be together with The Legend Ends movie. And in case you’d like to see the full trailer for both, here they are as well.
