The heroes in a hardshell are back! The follow up to the Michael Bay-esque Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) movie from 2014 has just been revealed in a new trailer. Titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, the new movie also sees another member of the Turtle’s hero family making an appearance, the hockey stick wielding Casey Jones!
With the first movie being pretty disappointing to many TMNT fans, it seems that the sequel is hoping to rectify many of the first movies mistakes. The appearance of Casey Jones is but one of them. As you’ll see in the trailer, the hockey mask wearing hero isn’t the only fan favourite that’s coming out in the new movie.
The “lovable” villains Bepop and Rocksteady are also shown, pre and post mutated and based on what we’ve seen in the trailer, they look a whole lot better than the two “substitute” mutants that came out in the horrible Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze movie.
There’s more. Now we actually get to see Shredder’s face and from the looks of the trailer opening, we might even get to see Krang! So far so good. Hopefully, the bits we’re seeing in the trailer are just pieces of the movies and not all the good parts. Or else, we’re going to once more dissappointed with another crappy TMNT remake.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is set for a June 3 2016 release.
