Aside from a couple of stills, we haven’t had the chance to take a good look at Scarlett Johansson on the set of the live-action Ghost in the Shell film everyone’s raving about. Now we have actual images straight outta Hong Kong with her as the Major.
Since her casting, Johansson has been the subject of debate about the film whitewashing the source material; with people sitting on both sides of the fence on the controversy.
But today we have photos from the movie’s shooting in Hong Kong, as spotted on Pak Hoi Street.
We also get a good look at Pilou Asbæk as Batou as well as a bunch of extras hanging around on the street.
While this isn’t much to go on, its looking pretty promising so far. I personally think Johansson is killin’ it in the role.
The movie is slated for a 31 March 2017 release.
