It was a long three days of intense Counterstrike:GO (CS:GO) battling but finally, the CS:GO Minor Championship ASIA champions have been crowned and they are none other than China based Team TyLoo!
Team TyLoo went home with the first-place winnings of US$30,000. Together with second place winners, Australian based Team Renegades, who clinched the US$15,000 second-place prize money, both teams have now secured places in the offline qualifier for the next CS:GO Major, the ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017. Meanwhile, China-based Team VG CyberZen took the third place and won US$5,000.
The CS:GO Minor Championship ASIA was recently held over the weekend from October 28th – 30th 2016 at the Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios in Johor, Malaysia. It’s a joint collaboration by eGG Network and PGL with a US$50,000 prize pool up for grabs.A total of the top eight teams across Asia Pacific took part in the tournament and aside from first to third place winners TyLoo, Renegades and VG.CyberZen, the other five teams included Australia-based Athletico BH, Indonesian-based Team NXL, South Korean-based MVP Project, Malaysian-based FireDragoon eSports, and United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based Team BOT.
