Jason Isaacs has just joined CBS’s latest Star Trek series, and he’ll be helming the U.S.S Discovery as it’s captain.
But despite being cast as captain, he won’t be the main star of the show. He will be playing Lorca, while his Number One, Lieutenant Commander Rainsford (played by Sonequa Martin-Green) will be the lead for the show.
Alongside them is Mary Wiseman, who has also joined the production as Cadet Tilly, a final year Starfleet Academy student that has been assigned to the Discovery.
Star Trek: Discovery is set to air on CBS All Access later this year.
