Razer‘s just unveiled a new digital wallet service that will make it easier for gamers to make online purchases and in-game transactions called zVault.
The virtual currency platform uses zGold units, which has a conversion rate at 100 zGold per USD$1, and is set to be a rewards program on top of being a secure payment option. You will be able to purchase zGold packs in 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 denominations using PayPal, major credit cards, Openbucks or Paysafecard.
Users will also be able to rack up zSilver currency from purchases using zGold or through using Razer’s software, like Cortex and Arena. Here’s how it will work:
As of the moment SMITE, Paladins, CrossFire and Lost Saga are accepting zGold, with the game stores IndieGala and GamersGate also taking Razer’s virtual currency, allowing for the purchase of games in the form of Steam keys. Trion Worlds will soon be accepting zGold as a payment option for six of its game titles as well.
As part of the official launch, Razer ID users can get a starter gift pack of bonus 2,000 zSilver and up to 30 percent bonus zGold if they top up their wallet during a limited time frame.
