A new feature in the Minecraft: Education Edition now makes it possible for students to play and learn how to code at the same time.

The new feature is called Code Builder, which came out recently in beta. The tool itself shows up in the game as a robot, which users can use to interact with the game via learn-to-code platforms like Tynker, Scratch and MakeCode.

In short, users program the robot to perform actions; like building a wall, and a wall will show up in-game.

But this doesn’t mean Code Builder is limited to just those learn-to-code platforms. If you know JavaScript, you can code with that as well!

Minecraft: Education Edition is open to students, teachers and staff at these qualifying institutions.
