The world’s largest e-Sports company continues to grow, as they are opening a new regional office in Singapore for the Southeast Asian region.
This move to expand is part of ESL‘s commitment to developing e-Sports communities and events around the world, recently holding ESL One Genting earlier this year and ESL One Manila in April 2016. Both events were visited by top international teams who fought it out in Dota 2, with a combined prize pool of USD$500,000 and were visited by over 30,000 visitors.
“ESL is and always will be about building esports: for the athletes, the fans and the aspiring players” said Ralf Reichert, CEO at ESL. “Our new regional office will set us up to bring even more global events and tournaments to the region, but more importantly: to help build the local esports communities through grassroots and local championships, which are fundamental to the growth of esports anywhere in the world.”
Additionally, they are also organising two stand-alone events for Dota 2 as part of its flagship tourney series, ESL One.
We can expect more great things from ESL soon, especially now they have roots in the region!
