Paramount Pictures seem to have gotten their hands on the rights to develop a Sonic the Hedgehog film, but the question is, what kinda movie is it going to be?
News about a Sonic movie has been floating around the ‘net for awhile now, with news of the project surfacing sometime in 2014 as a kind of hybrid CGI/live-action feature film. Talk about the movie again surfaced last year, and it doesn’t look like the main people developing the movie has changed much.
Neal Moritz (Fast & Furious) is still attached to the project as executive producer alongside Tim Miller (Deadpool) and Toby Ascher. Dmitri Johnson and Dan Jevons are co-producing with Jeff Fowler as director.
We’re not sure what the story will be centering on (the Sonic Comics has tons of storylines to follow, if they’re not aiming to follow the game’s lore) and we have no idea when the movie will even truly begin production so we can just hope that it doesn’t turn out to be some quasi-CGI cringefest.
