Despite previously claiming that they won’t be releasing any virtual reality hardware, Valve, the company behind games like Team Fortress 2 and Portal as well as the extremely popular game distribution hub Steam will be showing off a new SteamVR hardware system at the Games Developers Conference in San Francisco next month.
The VR headset and the finalised version of the Steam Controller will be among the new hardware that will be showcased at the event by Valve, which is curious and interesting considering that the company is indeed attempting to produce a gadget that would rival the Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus. They also will be showing off various upcoming Steam Machine PC gaming initiative and “new living room devices”
The Games Developers Conference runs from 2 March to 6 March, and we will be keeping our eyes peeled for Valve’s mysterious new gaming tech.
