Makura no Danshi/枕男子（まくらのだんし） , touted to be “subjective perspective” TV anime series that puts viewers into bed with a variety of “ikemen” or handsome anime male characters. According to the producers, “new and novel animation entirely in the first-person perspective” will “heal tired hearts.” Twelve men will be featured in the series, each of them with a distinct personality and type to cater to all desires. They live in the same town of starry sky and “sleep beside you and whisper.”
Now we know who will voice these characters, these are their names below:
– Natsuki Hanae (Arima in Shigatsu Kimi no Uso)
– Yuichiro Umehara (Owari no Seraph)
– Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Code Geass)
– Daisuke Namikawa (Black Lagoon)
– Nobunaga Shimazaki (Date A Live)
– Shinnosuke Tachibana (Majin Bone)
– Kousuke Toriumi (Break Blade)
– Yoshimasa Hosoya (Arslan Senki)
– Ayumu Murase (Gatchaman Crowds)
– Daisuke Kishio (Ayakashi)
and beginner Sora Takahata
Sharp eye observers will notice that there are eleven voice actors but twelve silhouettes of “pillow boy” characters. So maybe in one of the episode, viewers will get to into bed with a set of twins. The script is written by Ayumi Sekine (Tasogare Otome x Amnesia) and Yuniko Ayana (Bakuman) with Mika Yamamoto (Kimi no Todoke, Paradise Kiss) doing the character design. Music composition and arrangement is done by Masayoshi Ooishi (Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun). A few studios combined to produce this series – Feel (Bikini Warriors), Earthstar Entertainment (Teekyu) and Assez Finaud Fabric.
Besides a role in the series, Natsuki Hanae will be singing the theme song of the series. The anime is set to be your bed partner on 14 July 2015. Frankly speaking, we have no idea what kind of show is this, closest one we can think of is when the anime hug pillow actually talks back and behave like an ideal anime character partner.
