Acer’s got some brand new additions to their Spin and Swift series of laptops, with three new ultra-portable devices launched today.
The Acer Spin 5 is one of their latest convertible laptops that can flip all the way around to transform into a tablet. The device comes in two variants, a 13.3″ and 15.6″ version, both of which feature Full HD IPS displays. Both come built pretty solid with a premium metal chassis but the 15.6″ variant is a little heavier at 2.2kg while the 13.3″ weighs in at 1.5kg. Both devices are just 17.9mm thick.
As far as the hardware is concerned, you can get up to 8GB DDR4 RAM on each device and you can configure up to an Intel Core i7-8550U processor. In terms of storage, the 13.3″ variant gets 256GB worth of SSD storage, while the 15.6″ version can add on a 1TB HDD on top of that if needed.
Last but not least, the 15.6″ variant is packed with a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050 GPU that’ll let you play the newer more demanding games at 1080p.
The Acer Swift 3 on the other hand, is more of a traditional laptop compared to the Spin 5. Sporting an updated Intel Core i5-8250U CPU, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GPU and a 256GB SSD, it still retains the 15.6″ IPS Full HD display and trim metal body. It’s also home to a myriad of ports, including 2 USB 3.0 Type A ports, one USB 2.0 Typa A port, a USB Type C port, SD card slot as well as an HDMI port and 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo port.
The prices for all three models are as below:
- Acer Swift 3 – RM 4,299
