A prologue short has just been released for Alien: Covenant, and it gives us a glimpse at what happened to Dr. Elizabeth Shaw and the android, David, after the events of Prometheus.
When Prometheus ended, the both of them blasted off into space to find the home planet of the Engineers on board the abandoned Engineer vessel they managed to get working. They do seem to make there, but David seems to have other plans besides just meeting the makers of humanity.
Here’s the movie’s synopsis:
Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.
Not sure if they will be showing this footage in the movie itself (or if it will have any direct effect on it) but it’s worth checking out:
