If you’re a Malaysian itching to get your hands on the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millenium Falcon (75192) and were not one of those people that queued for the set yesterday (1 October), then you’re out of luck.
It seems that the set has totally sold out in the country and it was gone within hours of the opening of the Official LEGO stores in Malaysia.
Just to be sure though, we rang up all the Official LEGO Certified Stores in Malaysia and all of them gave the same answers, it was already sold out on the day it was available in the stores.
Who says purchasing power in Malaysia is down. Considering that the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millenium Falcon (75192) is one of the priciest LEGO sets to hit the market so far at RM3,499, the fact that it sold out so fast goes to show that either people have a lot of money or they REALLY love their LEGO.
Of course, let’s not forget the scalpers who are ready to turn a quick buck. A quick search on Mudah.my and Carousel and you can already see the sets being listed at a steep markup, at around RM4,500, an RM1,000 markup from the original price.
It may only be around 1-2 sets listed so far but we’re pretty sure that we’ll be seeing a bit more listings coming up in the next few days. Should you get it from scalpers? Well, it’s up to you but we did check with the LEGO Certified stores and they did say that they’ll be restocking with more sets, though an exact date was not mentioned.
Well, it’s up to you but we did check with the LEGO Certified stores and they did say that they’ll be restocking with more sets. Also, a representative from LEGO Malaysia did say that the sets will be restocked sometime in Mid-October in all Malaysian LEGO Certified stores and LEGOland. So if you’re patient and don’t want to give scalpers the benefit of a quick buck, then you should wait for the new stocks to come in.
