Local cartoonist Datuk Mohammad Nor Khalid, or known very well as Lat, has been admitted to the Pantai Hospital for what appears to be a heart problem.
The 65 year old cartoonist was admitted earlier this morning, as stated by his younger brother, film director Mamat Khalid. His condition however, has been confirmed to be stable. Phew.
Mamat also added that Lat was admitted into the hospital last week for heart problems as well, but he was discharged on Tuesday.
Lat’s comics are well known for his signature style as well as his portrayal of Malaysian life in general; from slice-of-life retellings of his childhood tales to jabs at the nation’s shortcomings.
Hopefully this doesn’t bode ill for Lat, we hope for his swift recovery!
