It seems that John Diggle has a new costume for Arrow Season 4 and it looks rather suspiciously familiar. It seems the CW has unleashed a new look for Diggle and he is no rumoured to be a version of DC superhero The Guardian.
“The Guardian who???” Fair question for those of you that aren’t comic book aficionados. Before the current 52 and even before Crisis, the Guardian was Jim Harper a police officer who turns to vigilantism to combat crimes that laws cannot touch. And if you’re wondering why that last name sounds familiar, its because Jim Harper was also Roy “Arsenal” Harper’s great grand uncle.
The Golden Guardian as he was sometimes known, also sported somewhat Captain America-ish shield and a helmet, the latter of which looks pretty similar to what Diggle is wearing in the promo pic for Season 4. Add the fact that the Guardian had no superpowers but relied on his fighting skills and you can see the parallels to Diggle in Arrow.

So far, the fans are quite surprised with this new look but remains cautious on how this new development would mean for this franchise. The jacket might fit in with the modern crowd but the helmet is quite something else. We’ll just have to see just how this all work out once Season 4 starts up.
Season Four of Arrow will debut on 6 October 2015.
