You heard that right, Marvel is offering fans a brand new way to follow the exploits of the Avengers, by giving it the manhwa treatment in a collab effort with Korean Publisher Daewon C.I.

In terms of plot, the manhwa will be a retelling of the first battle between the Avengers and Ultron; as told by South Korean writers and artists. The comic will run for 168 pages and is written by Si Yeon Park, art by Jae Sung Lee, Woo Bin Choi Jae Woong Lee, Min Ju Lee, Hee Ye Cho, Ji Hee Choi and In Young Lee.

David Gabriel, Marvel SVP, Print & Digital Publishing stated that this would be a fresh take of the Avengers for fans:

“Partnered with Daewon, Marvel is poised to introduce the international comic book community a bold reimagining of one of the most iconic Avengers stories ever told through the vibrant and action-packed manhwa format presented for our English-speaking fans for the very first time.”

The first of the five volume series is set to be released 24 May 2016 and can be pre-ordered from Amazon.
