The Kuroko’s Basketball anime is getting an anime-film adaptation for their Extra Game manga on top of three more compilation films featuring the Winter Cup episodes from the TV anime series.
Originally launched in 2008, Kuroko no Basuke (Kuroko’s Basketball) the series ended on September 2014; featuring the story of Taiga Kagami and Tetsuya Kuroko of Seirin High School’s basketball team.
Together the two take their team to the championships, culminating in a showdown between their team and Kuroko’s former team mates. Kuroko no Basuke Extra Game on the other hand is a sequel to the original manga.
This manga inspired three anime series, in addition to an upcoming film that was announced to be greenlit during the KuroBas Cup 2015.
The Extra Game film adaptation will be hitting cinemas in Japan come 2017.
