The classic Disney love story gets a shot at the big screen with equally big names in tow.

The teaser trailer doesn’t show much in the way of character, but it does give us a view of the castle, the enchanted rose, and a glimpse of Hermione Granger Emma Watson in the title role of Belle.

We also get to hear the voices of geek icons Ewan McGregor and Ian McKellen in their roles as Lumiere the candlestick and Cogsworth the clock – two of the characters enchanted by the spell cast on the castle and the Beast – who will be played by Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens.

Rounding out the cast are such names as Josh Gad, who played Olaf in Frozen, The Hunger Game’s Stanley Tucci as an enchanted piano, Kevin Kline, whose previous outing at Disney was in Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Watson’s Harry Potter co-star Emma Thompson as Mrs Potts.

Unlike previous live action Disney adaptations, Beauty and the Beast will be a musical, as revealed by Watson on her Twitter when she announced she was taking singing classes for the role. Original composer Alan Menken returns for the film, and notes from the iconic theme song can be heard towards the end of the trailer.

Beauty and the Beast is out in March.
