Not on the heels of Nintendo’s own super compact NES Classic Edition, Sega has brought their own Mega Drive system back to life; with a total of 80 games under the hood.
The NES Classic Edition on the other hand, is only home to 30 games. However, it doesn’t have the HDMI port that the NES Classic has, so you’re reduced to using a single composite AV port. Good if you’re using an older TV, not so good if you’re using a HDTV. Nuts.
If you happen to own any of the original cartridges however, they’ll still be compatible assuming they are still functional. You can see the full list of included games here.
The console is due to release sometime in October. But the question is, would you pick this up or the NES Classic? let us know in the comments.
