If you’re familiar with cyberpunk, the term “cyberdeck” referring to the often neural-connected interface used in William Gibson’s Sprawl Trilogy should ring a few bells. Built using a dead Commodore 64c, IMGUR user D10D3 has made this fantastic recreation of the Ono-Sendai Cyberspace 7.
Under the hood, the device has a Raspberri Pi 3 along with a bunch of connectors that only add to the authenticity. Makes you feel ready to jack-in and do a big data steal on some corporation doesn’t it?
D10D3 has even left instructions on how to build one yourself! even the page is appropriately themed, now that’s dedication. Most of the parts aren’t difficult to get ahold of though you might have to fabricate a few bits yourself depending on availability. However, we can point you to where you can grab the Hosaka bar-code sticker.
You can take a gander at more shots of the ‘deck down below!
