SyFy channel and David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) are developing a new series based on the mythology of Superman, Krypton. Something like Gotham where we don’t actually get to see Batman strutting his stuff, in this series, we don’t see Superman flying around and punching baddies.
Rather, the story focuses on Superman’s grandfather who is trying to bring equality and justice to his homeworld. Ian Goldberg (FlashForward, Once Upon a Time) will be writing the script and also the executive producer alongside Goyer. The story was conceived by both of them too.
So far, no other details are known yet but in the crowded superhero TV series, it remains to be seen if the series will get any traction with the audience. Right now, DC universe already very busy with Gotham, The Flash, Constantine and future upcoming series like Titans, Supergirl and Preacher.
