BLU, hailing from Florida USA is  introducing the world’s first 7-inch smartphone or phablet. The name of the phablet is the Blu Studio 7.0.

This monster contains a dual core CPU clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB RAM, which is pretty modest compared to other competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The display has a resolution of 1024 x 600 at 216ppi which is  disappointingly not very sharp, with a Mali 400 GPU powering it.

It also has a standard 5MP rear and 2MP front cameras adorning the phablet powered by a 3000mAh battery, 8GB internal storage with expansion via microSD card up to 64GB and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. The dimensions of this model are around 187.5mm X 103mm X 9.4mm with 295g in weight.

Buyers have a choice between Blue, Gray, White and Gold colours. So far, the Blu Studio 7.0 can be purchased from Amazon with a pricetag of around US$149 (RM515). Despite the huge size of the model, the modest display capability and not-so impressive internal specs might deter buyers from considering this phablet in the seriously crowded market.
