If you were planning to snag Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale on DVD, you better not be underaged as the DVD features a VERY NSFW clip involving Asuna.
As it turns out, the DVD has a bonus scene that well, lets you see Asuna’s nipples. In the films theatrical release she was covered with some soapy water but in the DVD’s special features the clip quite literally goes the extra mile and lets you see everything.
This isn’t a surprise though, as director Tomohiko Ito did admit that the Blu-ray would have a more detailed bath scene; they had animated two versions of the scene but the one featuring nipples had to obviously be cut for rating purposes. He did, however, say that the scene will be refined for home video and it looks like he’s kept his promise.
However, we expect that not all fans would be okay with this, especially since Asuna is barely 18 at the time of the movie.
Either way, if you want to grab a copy, Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale will hit Blue-ray and DvD on 19 December 2017.
