With the passing of Leonard Nimoy still fresh in our minds, the folks behind Star Trek Online have immortalized the man we all know as Mr. Spock in the online game.
Should players visit the planet New Romulus, Earth or Vulcan (Spock’s homeworld) players will see memorials of the legend; with Vulcan having two statues with different quotes (“Live long and prosper” on Vulcan, “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few” on New Romulus) while Earth will be hanging black flags of mourning at it’s spaceport for the next week.
Cryptic Studios, the creator of Star Trek Online has also setup plaques at the same locations honoring the actors that have embodied other members of Starfleet, including DeForest Kelley, James Doohan, Majell Barrett and series creator Gene Rodenberry.
