So you’ve got your hands on Samsung’s latest flagship phone. Be you a fitness freak or an avid sports fan, here’s a list of stuff to make your Samsung Galaxy S6 even better.
Headphones
RM 529 (incl. GST)
Lightweight, discrete and waterproof, these are one of the best headphones for the sportsman because they are barely there. From the way they hook on your ears to being fully waterproof (and therefore, sweatproof) this walkman device also doubles as an MP3 player on top of being Bluetooth enabled. It even has a ring remote so you don’t have to fiddle with buttons. Just connect the headphones to your Galaxy S6 and jog away! No armband or wires necessary.

If you don’t have a fitness tracker, you might want to consider these in-ear earphones. One of the only wireless in-ear sports earphones made with a built in heart rate monitor, they can be used with Jabra’s Sports Life app to track your excersize progress. They’re also made of tough stuff so don’t worry about mucking this one up with sweat or grime, it can take it!
Fitness Trackers
Approx. RM 544 ($149.50 USD)
With a chic low profile and bundled PurePulse Heart Rate monitor under the hood, the FitBit Charge HR is one of the more popular fitness trackers out there. It has a pretty good battery life too, of about five days between charges along with real-time runstats and logs that you can sync to your mobile or desktop to view your progress. It also behaves a little bit more like a smartwatch as in it drops notifications for you on a bright OLED display.

If you want basic and fuss free, there isn’t much that can go wrong with the Mi Band. The Xiaomi Mi Band is not only ridiculously cheap, but it performs and it takes ages for the battery life to wind down. You can run it with practically any fitness app or use it’s free Mi Fit app. The only caveat? It doesn’t work with Windows Phones.
Cases
Approx RM 181 ($49.99 USD)
Quite literally the ultimate protection you could give your phone while on a run, this heavy duty case is one in a long line of cases made to take a beating like few others can. While not waterproof, the case has all the necessary port covers and a built in clear membrane to keep dust out and scratches away from your device. The Defender also has a nifty holster that clips to most belts and straps to make it easy to carry because face it, that’s never going to properly fit in your pocket.

Tough but flexible and featuring a seriously cool mechanical design, the Spigen Rugged Armor case for the Galaxy S6 manages to do all that without adding on the bulk. It sports the necessary tech to keep your phone alive should it accidentally slip from your grasp and the raised lip keeps the screen from brushing the pavement if you do indeed drop it. Did we mention it has carbon fiber accents?
