Director of Ghostbusters, Paul Feig (Bad Teacher, Bridesmaids) , released a few images of the movie in order to hype up the fans. No doubt that he has to convince the public that all-female Ghostbusters team will be as awesome as the old 80s version, which has met with some doubts from the fans as to whether or not this could actually work.

First, we have a look at the iconic Ecto-1:

The director even obliged one of the fan’s request for a rear view of the vehicle:

Here’s one of the main cast (Melissa McCarthy) is decked out in the new uniform suit:

Of course, the director detailed and labeled all the parts of the proton pack here, much to the delight of cosplayers everywhere:

The Ecto-1 have some clever tweaks to it, as the car used is a Cadillac Superior Hearse ’84 model. The car’s year of production is a nod to the first Ghostbusters movie that came out in 1984. Notice that the car have a Slimer-lookalike hood ornament too.

The movie cast consists of female comediennes like Kristen Wiig (The Spoils of Babylon, Saturday Night Live) , Melissa McCarthy (Saturday Night Live, Masterminds) , Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live, Angry Birds) and Leslie Jones (Spy, Bridesmaids) as the Ghostbusters whereas Chris Hemsworth (Rush, Thor) will be the receptionist in a gender reversal role.

Official synopsis:

Erin Gilbert (Wiig) and Abby Bergman (McCarthy) are a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. A few years later Gilbert lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia University, but her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Gilbert reunites with Bergman and others when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world

The movie will starting busting the cinemas on 22 July 2016.
