Director Ridley Scott has shared some new information about the next Aliens movie and it looks like Elizabeth Shaw and David aren’t going to be the only characters visiting the planet of the Engineers in the Prometheus sequel.
The planet, called “Paradise” will be visited by a wholly separate team of explorers, Scott said in a recent interview with Awards Campaign.
“It’s going to be its own separate thing because they are going to the planet of the Engineers and they are going to see what happened there. It was a disaster. And they will be in that alien craft that takes them there, but with a new group that’s incoming, a new group of travelers in the beginning of the first act.”
Of course, it isn’t an Alien movie without heaps of people dying along the way so this gives Scott a hearty helping of expendable cast for him to work with. No information on who exactly these newcomers are yet but they’re probably going to be part of Weyland Corp.
Scott also teased that the sequel will have a connection to Ellen Ripley, so maybe this new group would be part of said connection. Maybe some kind of tie in with her daughter from the Alien: Isolation game?
