Oh yeah, its going to be Donnie Yen versus Mike Tyson in third of Ip Man coming this year’s Christmas!
Donnie Yen will be back as the famous sifu of legendary Bruce Lee in biographical film end of this year. It will be directed by Wilson Yip (Ip Man I & II) with Edmond Wong writing the script. The producer is veteran Raymond Wong (Kung Fu Angels, Hot Babies). The American boxing legend Mike Tyson will be playing as a property developer/street fighter and probably the main rival in trying to kick Ip Man’s ass in martial arts fight finale. Reportedly, Mike Tyson’s finger was fractured during an action sequence with Donnie Yen.
There is a rumour that the film makers will insert Bruce Lee into this film via CG too after being unable to find someone “who can replicate his intensity on screen”.
Despite expressing lack of interest to do another sequel after second Ip Man movie, he is back “after careful consideration” and insisting this will be the final Ip Man movie starring him. He also stated that this is might be his last Kung Fu movie since he is already 51 years old.
The movie official date is 24th December 2015.
