Just in time to hop on the Power Rangers movie reboot train, Saban Brands and Boom! Studios have announced that they will be launching a mini comic series starring Kimberly Hart, Pink Ranger.

The new series will be called Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Pink, and will have six issues, the first to come this May.

The writers for the series are Brenden Fletcher and Kelly Thompson with Daniele Di Nicuolo providing the art. Elsa Charretierdrew is the one behind the first issue cover art and Marguerite Sauvage drew an incentive cover for the comic.

Boom! Studios and Saban Brands are also producing a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic, with their issue No. 0 having launched in January and is in its third printing. Issue No. 1 is set to come out 2 March.

If the imagery doesn’t immediately let on, both comics are based on the first incarnation of the Power Rangers franchise (1993-1995) which in turn is loosely based on Toei’s Super Sentai franchise.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, there’s also a live action Power Rangers film coming out 24 March 2017.

Perhaps if their Pink Ranger mini series is a success we’ll be seeing mini featurettes for all the individual rangers? one can hope.
