Who doesn’t remember Genndy Tartakovsky’s iconic Cartoon Network series Samurai Jack? the time stranded samurai (who isn’t Professor Utonium) is coming back after almost a decade of the series ending.
For those who missed it in its hayday, Samurai Jack is about a samurai (called Jack) who was thrown into the dystopian future by the evil entity Aku, and the series mostly focuses on Japanese swordsman awesomeness with a fair bit of sci-fi and a dash of humour. The cartoon series may have ended but it has lived on in comic form till now.
Tartakovsky will be at the helm of the series and will be aired on Toonami sometime in 2016. They haven’t released more than that aside from a poster and a six second trailer on YouTube, which you can see below:

We’re not sure whats the deal with Jack actually wearing samurai armor for a change (and the fact that Aku still looks goofy as ever) but we’re pretty stoked for the new series. 2016 couldn’t come sooner!
