During the celebration of 15th anniversary of Digimon franchise at NicoNico Douga where 54 episodes were streamed non stop, a preview and announcement of casting plans were revealed for Digimon Adventure tri. The story continues when the core characters are 17 years old will be featured as six movie course beginning in 21 November 2015. The first movie will be titled Sakai or Reunion.
The story is set 15 years after conclusion of original story and much to fan’s shock, it is not a TV series as expected but a slew of movies to be premiered at the cinemas. The voice actors for the digital monsters are still the same crew but their human handlers have different voice actors this time to reflect the maturity in the story.
Director of Jormungand and Date a Live II series, Keitaro Motonaga will be helming the movies with creator of Cencoroll, Atsuya Uki on character design and finally Yuuko Kakihara (Heaven’s Lost Property, Chihayafuru 2) doing the series composition. Kouji Wada will be singing OP song “Butter-Fly” and Ayumi Miyazaki will be singing “Brave Heart”.
List of casting are Natsuki Hanae (Tari-Tari, Nagi Asakura), Suzuko Mimori (Btoom, Denpa Kyoshi) and Yoshimasa Hosoya (Akame ga Kill, Aldnoah Zero).
Surely the fans of Digimon can’t wait, and neither can we!
