Superman: The Movie is getting an awesome extended cut, and it’s going to run for a whopping three hours.

If you don’t recall Superman: The Movie, it was aired in 1978 and if you are my age, you probably never watched it when it actually came out, you know, on part of the fact that you didn’t exist yet. But the movie did hit the small screen on ABC and we now get to enjoy it in its full 188-minute runtime.

Of course, the footage has been given a HD-remastering, and it comes along with extra footage that didn’t make it into the film’s original release (or first DVD release) along with with a Special Edition, Special features and commentary.

There’s no official release date yet, but it can’t be too far off.
