Telltale Games, producer of episodic adventure games like The Walking Dead, Back to the Future and Game of Thrones, has announced that they are producing a Batman game to premiere on 2016.

They haven’t announced any solid details besides this and a short teaser video, but it will be available on console, PC/Mac and on mobile devices. The game will probably follow Telltale’s usual format for these games, with the episodes being released over time which can be purchased separately or bought as part of a season pass on Steam.

They also dropped this quote:

“At Telltale, we’ve been honored to bring our unique approach to interactive storytelling to some of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be exploring what it means to be Batman in an all-new series starting next year…This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.”

We think the game would be pretty dark and gritty, though knowing Telltale’s style of producing games, this likely won’t be your Arkham Knight. They’re also apparently working on something with Marvel that’s set to debut in 2017 but the details are still sketchy on that too.

So what do you think of this game to be? let us know in the comments.
