The much awaited Blade Runner sequel has just had its name revealed, alongside a behind the scenes photo.
The image, as you see below, features Ridley Scott, fellow director Denis Villeneuve as well as stars Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling. Other cast members for the film include Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, MacKenzie Davis, Barkhad Abdi, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto.
Nothing much else has been revealed about the movie aside from the launch date and the fact that it will be called Blade Runner 2049.
The original Blade Runner was set in 2019, and that was released in 1982. That makes it about 30 in-universe years since we saw the last of Rick Deckard. Wow.
Blade Runner 2049 will begin showing 6 October 2017, which is exactly a year off. Hopefully, we’ll get a trailer in the next few months.
