1. Superman Red/Blue/Electric Boogaloo
Never mind arguing over whether about the size of the “S” shield on Superman’s super-suit, whether it should have the underwear on the outside or a collar, in the late 90’s fans had a much weirder change to adapt to. First Superman became a being of pure energy and then he split into two beings of pure energy; Superman Red and Superman Blue. Although it was based somewhat on a similarly silly concept from the 1960’s comics, in the late 90’s it was still a pretty silly concept. Thankfully Red and Blue managed to get their act together and became a single Superman once more, with his normal powers. Superman’s electric blue containment suit has been seen in the background new 52 version of the character, but thankfully this is mostly forgotten.
